Ambrosial - Food of the Gods.
Ambrosial approached ink with an idea already in mind and a need to target two audiences - both cafe/lunch bar customers as well as the catering for more high-end corporate events.
The idea of "food of the gods" was developed and refined, adopting ancient themes of greek gods, beauty, grapes and the arts.
Sketches of a goddess character were produced and then refined as sharper illustrations in digital format. Curls in the hair of the illustration were utilised throughout the branding as a consistent graphic device. Text was kept noble and elegant. Rich black with hints of blue were used in the Ambrosial business cards providing a sharp, professional finish.
In contrast, a second set of business cards available for cafe customers were designed using a lighter/friendlier approach, while maintaining the Ambrosial illustration and "food of the gods" theme.
